What Do Consultants Do?

What Do Consultants Do?
Wedding Consultants can offer a wide variety of services from complete planning and coordination to wedding day coordination alone. The responsibilities cared for can also include offering suggestions and creative solutions to the many problems you may face during the planning process.  Another aspect of a Consultant's duties involves helping you to stay within your budget without sacrificing the vision of your perfect wedding day. Keep in mind that while the Consultant is also one of your vendors, their objective is to help you coordinate the wedding you have been dreaming of, always doing so in the most cost-effective manner.

How Much Do Consultants Charge?
Consultants charge for their services in three different ways: a percentage of the total budget, an hourly fee or a flat rate. The price you pay may also depend on where you live, the extent of the services the Consultant will provide and the size of your wedding. You may have to speak with several different Consultants and ask them about their pricing to find out which plan works best for you. Most consultants do, however, offer varying levels of service, so you can choose just how much help you will need.  For most couples a Wedding Consultant may seem like a luxury that they just cannot afford. However, this is a popular misconception. In fact, those on a restricted budget need a Consultant more than anyone else. A Wedding Consultant can save you money by helping you to stick to that budget, ensuring that you get the best service for the least amount of money.

Why Hire a Wedding Consultant?
Generally, a couple will know what they want and how much they can spend but may not know where to start. In addition, searching for reputable vendors takes a great deal of time that today's busy couple can't afford to waste. The biggest advantage of hiring a Consultant is that they do all the work for you. A Consultant will help you plan your wedding from start to finish. They will negotiate with vendors, schedule appointments and review contracts. More than anything else, a Consultant will save you time, money and a great deal of stress.  Organizing a wedding can be a challenge. The amount of time involved in coordinating a successful event can be exhausting. Hiring a Consultant can make the planning process effortless and your wedding day much more enjoyable. Consider the services offered by DESIGNS BY LADY VYE so you can begin planning the stress-free wedding you deserve.

Our venue has an on-site coordinator. Should I still hire my own Wedding Consultant?
We are happy to work with on-site coordinators when planning and arranging your wedding since they can be quite helpful with information regarding your chosen venue. However, their obligation is to the venue that they are employed by and they do not get involved with the overall planning of your wedding. They may also recommend vendors that they commonly work with but may not necessarily be suitable for your particular needs. Your Consultant will have a more detailed understanding of your plans and be better equipped to handle any last minute details to your specifications. In addition, the site coordinator may not be scheduled to work on the day of your wedding or may leave before the event is finished, while your Consultant would be there to oversee the entire event from beginning to end.
